Arknsas Market Weak While The Cabot Market is Strong
I wrote a post a couple of days ago about how the market in Cabot AR was not that bad compared to the rest of the country. An article was relased yesterday in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette about how real estate is not so hot in Arkansas. The article spoke about how people were having a hard time trying to sell their homes and that sometimes homes would set on the market for months and months at a time. Toward the end of the article it had different counties listed and the increase or decrease of home sales from last year to this year. Almost all of the surrounding counties that were listed had a decrease in home sales. Lonoke county had a 15% increase in home sales for the year. Sure those same figures were higher last year compared to 2005, but we are still in positive territory.
That means that Cabot Arkansas residents can list their homes for sale and not have them set on the market for months. Of course there will be some that set on the market forever for different reasons, but the majority of Cabot homes are selling. There are some neighborhoods in the area that have 40-60 day average market times. Less than two months to sell your home is great in any market.
