Cabot Real Estate Soggy Bottom

I was out looking for residential lots outside of Cabot yesterday with buyers. They were excited, "lets find a lot and build the home of our dreams", they said. After visiting several newly developed Cabot subdivisions they still did not find anything they liked. I told them that we could look tomarrow and then we should find something they like.

The next day they called to say they found the perfect lot just outside of Cabot. They told me where it was and we went and looked at it togather. As soon as I pulled up the buyer said "It's gorgeous ain't it".

Aside from three quarters of the acre lot being under water, no level ground, and more trees and shrubs than a forrest it was great. I asked where they intended to build the home. They showed me where they thaught they would like it. It was right in the middle of the water.

I mentioned that if three quarters of the lot was submerged now they may reconsider another lot. No, they insisted on that lot. I can not argue, all I do is what my clients ask me to do. We wrote the offer and we will see how it goes.

The moral to the story, if there is standing water on the lot of a home you are wanting to buy or on a lot you are wanting to buy, be sure that it is not in an area close to where you want to build.

No, this is not an insight on how to get rich in real estate just a tip that some people need to be reminded.
