Cabot Arkansas Home Tips
Over the weekend the sink drain in our Cabot home became clogged. After pulling out the pea trap and sticking a coat hanger down the drain, I unclogged a hairball that was stuck in the drain. After putting the sink back togather I began thinking about other clogged drains that I have had and what I could have done to fix them. I got online and ran across an article that gave tips on how to unclog a drain. Here are six tips that may be interesting.
1. Use a chemical drain cleaner, but beware sometimes the chemicals in the cleaner may be harmful to certain drain pipes.
2. Plunge the drain at the fixture.
3. Try to clear out a hair blockage by using a straightened close hanger. Bend a small hook at the end and try to reach down and hook the hair ball.
4. Place a hydrolic bladder on a garden hose and try to blast the clog out.
5. Try to work the clog out with a plumming snake (generally these can be rented at home improvement stores.)
6. Call a plummer
It's Strange, because I have used all of these methods except a hydrolic bladder. I hope this may help you sometime if you are in a bind.
