First Quarter Real Estate Numbers for Cabot Arkansas
With March coming to an end today it marks the end of the first quarter for the Cabot housing market. These days I am always told that the real estate market is terrible. I wanted to post the number of Cabot homes sold in the first quarter of this year so people will know how the real estate market is doing in Cabot.
Yea, there has been a slow down, but thankfully not as bad as some other parts of the nation. Here are the numbers for detached homes sold in the first quarter of this year compared to the previous two years. This report excludes Mobile homes sold, land sold, and commercial property sold.
1st Quarter of 2008
There have been 206 homes sold in Cabot
1st Quarter of 2007
There were 221 homes sold in the Cabot area
1st Quarter of 2006
There were 242 homes sold in the Cabot area
The first quarter of this year has seen a 6.79% decrease compared to 2007. The first quarter of this year is down 14.8% compared to the first quarter two years ago.
Considering other parts of the the country have seen decreases of 20% or more compared to 2007, Cabot real estate has held up quite well so far.
Hopefully the market stays strong throughout the year and 2009. I will keep you posted on how the market is doing. Not with my opinions, but with the numbers of the market.
