Two external factors that should make new home buyers think twice about choosing a home
We work with several home buyers in several different price ranges. Through the years I have noticed two issues that have really discouraged buyers from choosing a house.
Steep Driveways- I can not count the number of times that buyers have told me to keep driving when they see a steep driveway. Some buyers will want to pull up in the driveway to see if their car scrapes and if it does they do not even make it in the house.
Rough Neighborhoods- Most areas in Cabot are pretty nice. I have noticed buyers getting discouraged from buying certain homes in the country. The two main reasons are old run down mobile homes and junk piled up in the front yard of homes in the area.
The bad thing for sellers is both factors are out of their hands. They can't change what their neighbors do and it is hard to change a steep driveway. I have however, seen buyers that love the interior of a home so much they overlook look the external factors.
